Q: Can you share a bit about your journey - What led you to yoga?
A: I found yoga in my young adulthood after a knee injury. Yoga helped me develop strength and restore mobility as I recovered, but I found that the mental benefits kept me in the practice. Yoga gave me tools to work through the frustration and self-doubt that often come with an injury, and once I noticed those same lessons showing up off the mat in how I handled everyday stress, I was sold.
Q: What inspired you to become a yoga teacher?
A: I was deep in corporate burnout and signed up for a yoga teacher training simply as a way to destress and do something completely different. I didn't expect to fall in love with teaching, but the deeper I got into the training, the more I wanted to share it with others.
Q: What kind of classes do you love to teach the most?
A: Mobility-centered classes, hands down. I'm fascinated by the body as one connected system and how everything works together rather than in isolation. I love guiding flows that build range of motion and support the functional movements we rely on every day. Helping people feel more capable and at home in their bodies is so fulfilling.
Q: How would you describe your teaching style in 3 words?
A: gentle, mindful, anatomy-informed
Q: How do you think the salt therapy environment enhances a yoga practice?
A: I've found that salt therapy adds a really grounding sensory layer to class. It helps you get into your body right from the start and makes it easier to soften, breathe, and settle into a calmer headspace as the practice unfolds. It turns the room into its own little sanctuary.
Q: How do you like to unwind after a busy day?
A: A swim, followed by couch time with my dogs.
Q: What’s your favorite yoga pose and why?
A: Forward fold - I love feeling the decompression of my neck and spine.
Q: What’s your go-to wellness or self-care practice (besides yoga)?
A: A long walk with a coffee and a friend.
Q: A quote or mantra you live by?
A: I don't have one but if I did, it would have something to do with enjoying time with friends/family, eating good food, and finding lots of reasons to laugh.
Q: If you could teach a class anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: Somewhere outdoors and on a mountain.
Q: What advice would you give to someone looking to start a yoga practice?
A: Intention over perfection. It's not about the "perfect" pose. It's about what you learn about yourself as you practice.

salty yoga class, gentle essentials, with Binna
Gentle Essentials: Settle into a nourishing yoga practice designed to calm the mind and restore the body. The central pillar of this class is mobility, and we flow slowly through grounded shapes that open the hips, spine, and shoulders. Each posture is approached mindfully, helping your body move with more ease and range.
As the practice unfolds, we then soften into long-held restorative poses to release tension and calm the nervous system. With a focus on the mind–body connection, this class offers a grounding space to replenish your energy, improve how your body moves, and cultivate inner peace.
