We've been listening! Our soundbaths have been by-far our most popular salty offering month after month, and we're adding on a new soundbath practitioner, Dominique, to the roster! You'll find her soundbaths to be soothing and earthy-toned on the FIRST Saturday of each month at 5:30p.

Q: Introduce Yourself?!

A: Hi, I’m Dominique, the founder of Nature & Sound. I have lived in Austin since 2011, so you could say I am technically an Austinite! I enjoy morning outdoor walks, watching Netflix, exploring Austin with friends and family, doing cardboard puzzles, and watching cat videos. I don’t have a cat yet, but maybe one day. They’re just so cute!

Q: How Did You Get Into Sound Healing?

A: For years, I practiced yoga, meditation, and slow living, which helped me manage PTSD and anxiety. Visiting Tulum, I attended a Reiki and Sound Bath for Couples and fell in love. Although I had experienced sound baths before, the intimacy and proximity to the bowls transported me to a peaceful, floating state. What began as a self-care practice became my work. I’ve been facilitating since 2023.

What Can We Expect From Your Sound Bath?

In nature, seasons come and go in their own steady rhythm. Our thoughts and emotions can do the same when we release resistance. My sound baths center on reflection. They create space for you to process and let go of lingering stress and anxiety. Each session begins with a guided meditation to help you relax and connect with the monthly theme. Then I play nature-inspired instruments such as ocean drums, rainsticks, crystal singing bowls, and wind chimes to create a grounding, immersive atmosphere. The sound helps calm your mind, promotes relaxation, supports emotional release, and encourages a sense of balance and well-being.

How Does Salt Therapy Tie Into Your Practice?

The breath is a tool we use every day. We often do not realize how important it is. Respiratory health affects how we feel and regulate stress. Salt is a natural element of the earth. It is grounding and purifying. Salt therapy supports the lungs and creates a clean, calming environment for breath. The calmness of your breath and the grounding sounds become layered support.

Who Is This Sound Bath Perfect For?

All levels are welcome, whether you meditate often or have never tried it before. Sound baths are especially supportive for anyone feeling overstimulated, mentally fatigued, or stretched thin. They are also great for those wanting a unique, nature-inspired experience in downtown Austin. Come soften, slow down, and settle in. Let nature and sound do the rest.
